How to sync fans to Mailchimp, Klaviyo and Zapier
A webhook is just a web address that receives your new fan signups automatically.
To sync fans to Mailchimp, Klaviyo or Zapier, copy a webhook address from Zapier (Webhooks by Zapier → Catch Hook) or Make, then paste it in Dashboard → Settings → Fan webhook and click Save webhook. Every new fan signup on your smart links is then sent there, and Zapier or Make adds it to your Mailchimp or Klaviyo list.
Anyone can read this guide. The tool it covers is part of the Studio & Lifetime plans.
- 1
Get a webhook address
- Zapier: create a Zap with the trigger Webhooks by Zapier → Catch Hook and copy the address.
- Make: add a Custom webhook module and copy the address.
- Klaviyo or Mailchimp: connect them through Zapier or Make in the next step.
- Zapier or Make automations may require a paid plan on those services.
- 2
Save it in MelodyLane
- Go to Dashboard → Settings (Your Handle) → Fan webhook.
- Paste the https:// address and click Save webhook.
- Click Send a test fan so your tool sees a sample signup.
Tip: Each artist profile has its own webhook, so two artists can sync to two lists.
- 3
Map the fields
- In Zapier or Make, add an action like Mailchimp → Add/Update Subscriber or Klaviyo → Add Profile to List.
- Map email to the email field. You can also use artist, smart_link.title and source.
- 4
What gets sent
- Every new fan signup on your smart links: email, consent, source, artist, the smart link and the time.
- Fans who were already on the list for that link aren't sent twice.
Watch out: Fans agreed to emails from you — keep honoring unsubscribes in your email tool.
