How to create a smart link

To create a music smart link for a song or album in MelodyLane, go to Dashboard → Smart Links and click New Smart Link. Upload your cover artwork, type the title and artist name, and paste your Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and other listening links. Save, then share your fan link in your bio, posts and ads.

    What do I need to create a smart link?

    • Square cover artwork (JPG or PNG).
    • Your song or album title and artist name.
    • Your listening links from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and any other service.

    Tip: Don’t have every link yet? Start with what you have — you can add more anytime.

    How do I start a new smart link?

    • Go to Dashboard → Smart Links and click New Smart Link.
    • Choose a regular release, or a pre-release campaign with a countdown (Pro, Studio & Lifetime).

    How do I add my release details?

    • Upload your artwork and type the title and artist name.
    • Paste each listening link into its matching service field.
    • The builder can auto-fill matching links for other services from a single pasted link, so you do not have to paste every service by hand.

    Watch out: Open each link once yourself so fans never land on the wrong song.

    How do I add socials and fan email capture?

    • Add the socials you want shown under your listen buttons.
    • Saved socials in Settings fill in automatically (Pro, Studio & Lifetime) — remove any you don’t want on this link.
    • Turn on fan email capture to collect fans’ emails (Pro, Studio & Lifetime).

    How do I choose the look and save?

    • Leave the background on Automatic to match your artwork colors, or pick White or Black.
    • Check the live preview, then save.

    Which link should I share with fans?

    • Copy your fan link and put it in your bio, posts and ads.
    • Keep your private owner link (ending in ?owner=1) to yourself — it’s for viewing your live Insights.

    Watch out: Never post the owner link. It’s only for you.

    How do I test my smart link on my phone?

    • Open your fan link on your phone like a fan would.
    • Tap every service button to confirm it opens the right release.

    Tip: Need changes later? Edit the same smart link — your shared address stays the same.

Is it free to create a smart link?

Can I collect fan emails on my smart link?

Yes — fan email capture is included with Pro, Studio & Lifetime. Fans opt in with a clear consent note and can unsubscribe in one click.
